Memphis Realtor will host cooking show
from kitchens of homes for sale

Realtor Karen Moore has found a creative way to sell homes.
Starting July 26, she will host cooking shows from the kitchens of the houses she lists. An agent with Dan
Stewart Realtors, Moore has enlisted the help of daughter and actress Aryen Moore-Alston to host the first
show on WPTY-ABC 24 on July 26 at 2 p.m.
Moore said she has already shot two "This House is Cooking" episodes in a home off of Holmes Road.
She purchased airtime to broadcast the 30-minute pilot episode from her marketing budget as a form of
advertisement.
Moore, the creator and executive producer of "This House is Cooking," started her television career as a
news reporter for WREG in 1977. Her first week on the job, during which she reported on the death of Elvis
Presley, garnered her nationwide exposure.
On "This House is Cooking," viewers will be given a tour of the home for sale in addition to new recipes.
Moore-Alston's menus will match the style of the home and contain a variety of dishes.
Moore said she decided to host the show because "kitchens and bathrooms sell homes."
